Rebekah Chesnes began playing the flute at age 12. Shortly after she began studying under Sandra Graef in Indianapolis, IN. At age 14, Becki was named Assistant Principal flutist of the Indianapolis Youth Orchestra. She became Principal in 2000 and was also a finalist in the IYO Concerto Competition the same year.
After moving to Cincinnati at age 16, Rebekah began studying privately with Kyril Magg of the Cincinnati Symphony and Opera. In 2002, Rebekah played in the prestigious National Wind Ensemble at Carnegie Hall, New York City, under the direction of Maestro H. Robert Reynolds.
After high school graduation, Becki attended University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music where she studied music industry with many esteemed engineers and producers and flute performance for four years with Gary Woodward of the Los Angeles Opera. During her tenure at USC, Rebekah was Assistant Principal of the USC Concert Orchestra as well as an intern at Classical KUSC Radio in downtown LA, New Line Cinema in Beverly Hills, and Origination Studios in Culver City.
In Spring of 2006, Rebekah was a member of a small projects team hired to revamp the modern recording business model for Warner Bros. Records, the results of which her team presented to the CEO Tom Whalley and WBR Vice Presidents in May. That same month, Rebekah graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music in Music Industry and Flute Performance.
In 2006, Rebekah moved back to the midwest to found and operate her own music production company: Street Symphony Artist Alliance. SSAA concentrates their efforts on signing young, energetic classical and jazz musicians who are eager to innovate in the field of recording. SSAA celebrated its 3rd anniversary this past June! Rebekah is herself an artist signed with SSAA. “Introducing Rebekah Chesnes” is her first album, released in May 2007.

She currently studies flute privately with Heather Verbeck, Adjunct Faculty for the Cincinnati Conservatory, and is preparing for a solo recital to take place in 2010.
